Will Nephrotic Syndrome Develop into Uremia

When people develop Nephrotic Syndrome, most of them would want to know whether this disease will develop into Uremia one day.
Before giving a definite answer, we should firstly know that Nephrotic Syndrome is not an independent disease, but a set of signs or symptoms of the glomerular disease, typically showing large amounts of proteinuria, edema, hyperlipidemia and hypoproteinemia. Therefore, Nephrotic Syndrome will not necessarily develop into Uremia, for Nephrotic Syndrome of different pathological types has different prognosis. That is to say, if patients have not received effective treatment, or if they suffered from this disease repeatedly, then, Nephrotic Syndrome will develop slowly and finally develop into Uremia.
2. Since we have received treatment, why does this disease still develop?
This is because the root cause of Nephrotic Syndrome has not been removed.
When our healthy nephron are damaged, we also lose some of the renal functions gradually. And with the worsening of our condition, the damaged nephron will also progress to necrosis, and this pathological damage process is named as renal fibrosis. When the renal fibrosis progress to its end stage, then Uremia occurs.
In treating Nephrotic Syndrome, if the treatment is not aimed at effectively blocking the renal fibrosis, even though the patients' condition can turn better by the treatment of hormones, cyclophosphamide and other medicines, it is just temporal, and this disease is still easy to relapse. The reason is that the Western Medicine only has the anti-inflammatory effect, and it can not treat this disease from the root. Therefore, patients still have the chance to suffer from Uremia.
3. Since there is a chance for Nephrotic Syndrome developing into Uremia, what treatment can we expect?
Absolutely, if we want to refuse this "extremely unpleasant invitation" of suffering from Uremia, an effective and fundamental treatment is necessary. In turn, this disease should be treated from the root cause.
